Water Color Birthday Card using SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp set

Welcome Back!

Today I have a card I made for my boss's birthday.

I wanted something pretty and elegant for her.

I first embossed the SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp with Ranger Princess Gold
embossing powder onto watercolor paper.

I then watercolored with Distress Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Fossilized Amber and Forest Moss. I also used the Wilted Violet to splatter onto the background.

The sentiment strip is made using stamp from the MFT All About You stamp set and the You is from the MFT All About YOU die set.

I then used Wilted Violet ink to stamp same image on the envelope flap and then coated in clear embossing powder to seal in since on a slick style glittery envelope.

She loved the card which was a win for me!
Thank you so much for coming by and I will see you next time!!

Shadowbox Birthday Card using MFT Otterly Love You stamp set

Hello!
Today I have my first shadowbox card. I tried to do the tunnel technique Jennifer McGuire showed but I just couldn't get to work so instead I decided to go with the shadowbox version.

I used ver dimensions to a T to make the card and before assembly I ink blended the panels.

I used Distress Oxides in Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean for the sky and water bits then used Twisted Citron, Crushed Olive and Mowed Lawn for the seaweed.

Spectrum Noir Markers used for otters:
PP1
PP3
IG1
IG4
GB8
GB10
EB1

I then used some Nuvo Jewel Drops in Grey mist to add some bubbles and shine.

It came out so cute and hopefully can upgrade to a tunnel version lol

Thanks for coming by and see you next time!

CTD #507 Using Alcohol Ink Lifting

Happy Saturday!

ITs been a while since I did a challenge. Im trying to adjust to a new work shift and luckily I no longer feel like a zombie!

The Color Throwdown Challenge this week used the colors, lime green, green, aqua and eggplant.

I had just gotten the Alcohol Lift Ink and had to play.
I used Alcohol Inks in Citrus, Limeade, Eggplant and Mermaid.

The eggplant came out way darker in the finished inked piece but I loved the outcome.

After it tried I used the Lift Ink with with Simon Says Stamp Center Cut Star background stamp.

I also wanted to play around with adding gold foil to the sticky bits.

I used to do nail art and have a bunch of nail foil and luckily it worked!
After the piece tried a few minutes , I laid down the foil and stuck to this sticky thicker bits!

Since the purple was so dark I decided to put onto a purple matte
and have the sentiment also be purple.

The sentiment is the Simon Says Stamp Painted Happy Birthday Die that I cut out four times to add some dimension.

I then coated in clear embossing powder to give it some shine!

Sending you Love card using Framed 3D Embossing Image Technique

Hey!

I watched Jennifer McGuire's video of Creative Uses of Embossing Folders
and I just had to get into my craft room to make one.

I had gotten the Tim Holtz Botanical 3D embossing folder in the SSS card kit
and I fell in love with it.

Her card used the My Favorite Things Linked Octagon Frame Dies which I do not have.

Instead I went to my Silhouette Studio Software and created my version of it.

It is not perfect but it works and SSS was sold out and I have zero patience to wait. lol
I cut out 4 of the images and stacked them to give dimension.

I traced the inside with white paper, inked it up with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide and then ran it through with the embossing folder.  I then buffed some Perfect Pearls onto it to make it shimmer.

I attached the embossed piece and frame onto a background also inked with the Peacock Feathers that was distressed with water splatter.

I used the SSS Love Wafer Die on the same gray card stock as the frame and base and some vellum as the shadow.
The "sending you" is  from the SSS All About Love Stamp Set.

Thank you so much for checking out my creation and I hope to see you next time!

Happy Birthday Bokeh Card!

Welcome Back!
Today I have a card I made for my great work friend Ryan.
These last 6 months would have been horrible if I didn't see him across form me!

I wanted to do something special for him and decided to try my hand at making a bokeh background.

I first ink blended a background with Distress Oxides in
Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin and Fossilized Amber

I didn't have a circle stencil but no worries, I used my Silhouette to cut out a variety of circle shapes

I used Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink to blend on the circles. I would apple the circles very randomly and not ink up each time that way each circle would get lighter.

You need to have different shades of the white to give it that depth.

I went over some of the circles with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Pen
so that only few had some sparkle.

The sentiment is the Honey Bee Hooray Die and balloons
are from the Honey Bee Celebration Box stamp set.

The balloons were all colored with the same Distress Oxide Colors and then sparkled up with the Wink of Stella pen.

I had some extra so I used those on the inside and then personalized using the Concord and 9th Perfectly Penned stamp set.

While I was at it I decided to decorate the envelope.
I used the same stamp set for the balloons and the confetti.
I then just hand wrote is name in the balloons.

Thank you so much for visiting and checking out this card I made for special work buddy!
I hope to see you next time!

SSS Fly Me Away cards using the Tim Holtz Botanical 3D Embossing Folder

Welcome Back!

I fell in love with Shari Carroll card she did for
the SSS Fly Me Away card kit and had to do my own.

I used the Tim Holtz Botanical 3D embossing folder on some gray card stock.

The flowers are from the SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp set and heat embossed with Ranger Silver embossing powder onto water color paper.

I colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in
Turquoise Green, Geranium Red and Lemon Yellow.

The leaves were embossed with the silver embossing powder onto the same gray card stock.

The sentiments were embossed onto coordinating colored card stock.

I just love this embossing folder and how much dimension it gives to the card.

Thank you so much for coming over to check out my card and I hope to see you next time!
