Rainbow Birthday Card using Zig Clean Color Markers and Honey Bee Stamps STAMPtember® Exclusive

Hi!
I have another card I made using this fantastic
Honey Bee Stamps STAMPtember Tie One On Stamp Set.

This set is going to be my go to set for birthday cards. Sorry in advance because I know there will be more posts with it.
I went step by step with Nichol Spohr's technique from this video

It is such a great video and she taught me so many techniques and made this sooooo much easier than I thought would be.

I stamped the balloons onto some Bristol Smooth cardstock and left the masks on to then use a cloud stencil to ink blend with Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass.

I used the same ink to add some splatter and used Broken China Distress Oxide for the sentiment.

I  colored in with
Kuretake Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
You can see from the pic above...I used a bunch of them.

I decorated the inside with the same stamp set and Distess Oxide Inks.

I hope you also give Nichols technique a try because it was so fun to create and will definitely not be the last!

Till next time.......have a awesome day!

Color Throwdown #531 using Gina K Designs You Make Me Smile stamp set.

Happy Wednesday!

Today's post is using the colors for the Color Throwdown #531 which are Rust, Purple and Gray.

I was a a little perplexed at what I was gonna do but decided to play with some watercolors.

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Rusty Hinge, Wilted Violet and Hickory Smoke for the background.

I heat embossed the floral image from the Gina K Designs You Make Me Smile stamp set with white embossing powder.

I die cut the SSS Small Hello die 5 times from some gray card stock so that it was raised up and didn't get swallowed by the background.

The missing you sentiment is from the SSS Tiny Words stamp set and heat embossed with white embossing powder and popped up this time with thin foam tape.

I finished it off by putting on a gray card base and adding some Nuvo drops in Pale Perwinkle.

Thank you for visiting and hope to see you next time!

Valentines Day Cards using SSS Foodie Friends stamp set

Welcome back!
I had bought a Brother Scan N Cut 2 and wanted to test it out with some images.
I didn't want the images to go to waste so I have these three Valentines Day Cards to show you.

The images come from the SSS Foodie Friends Stamp set and
were all colored with Zig Clean Color Marker.

I was also playing around with Alcohol Inks and cut up to use as a backer to showcase the images.

I used the MFT Peek a Boo Window to make the stitched openings.

I then used white embossing powder to heat emboss the different SSS background stamps.

Cora Background

Kaleidoscope Background

Flora Background

I thought it looked to plain if just white so this embossing adds some interest without taking away from the images.

Thank you so much for stopping by and see you next time!

Color Throwdown #529 using SSS Best Ever

Happy Saturday!

Here is my submission for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge CTD#529.
The colors this week are Yellow, Orange and Red.

I was inspired by the design Kristina Werner used a few weeks back on her You Tube Channel.

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple
for the blended background.

I used white embossing powder to heat emboss the heart images onto the background after was completely dry.

The larger heart image comes from the SSS Best Ever stamp set and
the tiny heat is from the SSS Birthday Numbers stamp set.

I used some embroidery floss in a deep orange like Kristina but omitted the bow.

The love die is the SSS LOVE wafer die and the smaller strip is from the SSS All My Love stamp set which was stamped with Candied Apple ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Thank you for coming by!

Sending Love Card using SSS Elizabeth Background Stamp

Welcome Back!

Today I have a card I made by pure accident.

I was using Distress Oxides to make that Panda Shadowbox card and I had a bunch of ink still on my mat and I just didn't want to waste it.

I took a piece of white card stock and smooshed throughout all the colors.
Distress Oxides used:
Wilted Violet
Seedless Preserves
Dusty Concord
Shaded Lilac
Crushed Olive
Squeezed Lemonade

I then used  Ranger Silver Embossing Powder to heat emboss the SSS Elizabeth background.
I cut the vellum circle from the SSS Stitched Circle Die.

The love die cut is the SSS LOVE Wafer Die cut from some random lilac and grey card stock.

I then heat embossed the rest of the sentiment with the same embossing powder and the SSS All My Love Stamp Set

I used the same background stamp to the inside of the card and on the envelope.

I love how it came out and really showed me to not just toss out what I think I may not need because beautiful things can come out of it.

Thank you again for checking this card out and I will see you next time!
