Birthday Card using Alcohol Ink and SSS Cora Background

Hello!

This is a card I made for a close friend of mine.
She loves Rose Gold so of course I had to try to make a card with those cards.

I used Pink Sherbet and Pearl Alcohol Inks for the background and then heat embossed the SSS Cora background in Ranger Princess Gold embossing powder.

I used the MFT Blueprints 13 Die-namics  stitched rectangle die and put onto a white note card.

I used a sentiment from the Silhouette Design store. I first gold embossed some white card stock and then cut out on the machine.

I added some Wink of Stella onto the white of the notecard and the "shadow" of the sentiment.

I hope to see you next time and till then,
Have a great day!

Christmas Card using Avery Elle Retro Ornaments

Hello!

I have one last Christmas card for yo. I really wanted to use the Avery Elle Retro Ornaments Stamp set and the SSS Christmas Sweater Background. I figured why not combine the two.

I first stamped the sweater background in Versamark onto some Bristol smooth card stock.
I then ink blended it with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.

The ornaments and lights were stamped in Versafine and colored with Distress Inks in Victorian Velvet, Scattered Straw and Tumbled Glass.

The branches were stamped with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide. I cut them all out with the coordinating dies.

I used a SSS circle die and heat embossed the sentiment with Ranger Princess Gold embossing powder. I used the same embossing powder and dies to create the "strings" that attach the ornaments to the trees.

I used some foam tape to pop the whole panel onto a white notecard. I then used a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen onto the sentiment circle, inside of the ornaments and the lights. I also put some on that border showing on the notecard.

Thank you for stopping by for all these Christmas cards and
I hope to see you in the new year!

Embossed Christmas Cards using Avery Elle Warm Wishes stamp set

Welcome Back!

I have another couple of cards I made using the adorable Avery Elle Warm Wishes stamp set.

I used Versafine Black Onyx ink and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers for the main images.

The background is made by embossing two different sizes of the MFT Scalloped Die-namics using a Spellbinders embossing mat.
I just love how it gave a subtle texture and interest to the background without taking away from the jars.

I matted it all onto some red yardstick from my stash.

Have a great rest of your day and see you next time!

Christmas Cards using SSS Milk and Cookies Card Kit

Hey Guys!

I have a couple of cards I made using the SSS Milk and Cookies card kit.

It is such a cute kit and so many ways to use it.

This one was made by stamping in versa mark the gingerbread men onto some gray yardstick and heat embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I colored in with the Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.  The sentiment is from the MFT Handwritten Holiday stamp set and heat embossed with the same embossing powder.

This one is heat embossed with Ranger watering can embossing powder onto a lighter gray card stock. I used the same watercolors for the images. I used the MFT Merry Christmas Greeting stamp to heat emboss onto some vellum and hand cut a shadow around it.

Thank you again for checking these out!
I hope to see you later!

Christmas Card using Sunny Studios Holiday Style stamp set

Hello!
Last year when I was thinking about jumping into the world of stamping, I saw this Sunny Studios Holiday Style stamp set and was amazed at that bell. I thought just crazy how three different colors could create such a lifelike image.

I am still lacking on inks so I used the Memento London Fog for the first two layers. Stamped once on the first then twice on second to make darker.

The pine was made using Memento Cottage Ivy in the same kind of way.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I heat embossed with some red embossing powder.

I die cut using the MFT Wonky stitched rectangle Die-namics and popped onto some plaid pattern paper from my stash.

I of course had to use the ornaments for the inside. Im bad and forgot to write down the colors I used for the ornaments. My bad.

See you next time!

Plaid Christmas Card using Avery Elle Warm Wishes stamp set

Happy Saturday!

Today I have some cards using the Avery Elle Warm Wishes stamp set along with the Concord and 9th Plaid Background.

The mason jar images on both were done the same.
I stamped using Versafine Onyx Black Ink and used Zig Clean Color markers to color in.

The background above was made with Versafine Black Onyx Ink and Ranger Princess Gold embossing powder. I used the sentiment from the set and used the same embossing powder onto some black card stock.

This one used SSS Barely Beige Ink and Ranger Silver embossing powder. The sentiment is stamped onto some white yardstick with Versafine ink and heat embossed with Recollections clear embossing powder.

Both backgrounds were cut out using the MFT Dynamics Blueprints 13 set with the rectangle stitched die and matted with some black card stock.

Color Throwdown #473 using Lawn Fawn Winter Otter stamp set

Happy Wednesday!

The Color Throwdown colors this week are Pink, Green, Kraft and White.
A friend at work and I show a love of otters so of course I had to make her a otter Christmas card.

I used colored pencils to color in the otters which I stamped onto the Kraft card stock and cut out with the coordinating dies.

I used some pattern paper and glitter card stock from the SSS Milk and Cookies card kit.
The snowflakes are from a Sizzix Thinlits die set.
It is hard to see in pic but I used the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush pen to add some sparkle.

Thank you for coming by and see you next time!

Christmas card using the MFT Fireplace Die-namics

Hello!
I am so excited to be working on some special Christmas cards.
I bought the My Favorite Things Fireplace Die-namics last year and could not wait to use it.

I cut all the pieces from white card stock then ink blended with Distress Inks. I wasn't precise on the blending since so small and in some cases like the mantle I liked that gave more of a wood look.

Below are all the colors I used and on what:
Mantle and Log: Vintage Photo and Gathered Twig
Stockings: Candied Apple
Grate: Black Soot
Flames: Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey
Brick part: Fired Brick (obvious choice lol)

I used a docrafts Creativity essentials Brickwork background for the main fireplace bit.
I used versa mark and clear embossing powder to heat emboss the bricks then ink blended the distress ink.

For the evergreen boughs and bow on top of the mantle I used a Silhouette file and downsized them a ton. It was finicky but it came out great.

I used the Warm Wishes sentiment from the Avery Elle Warm Wishes stamp set. Seemed appropriate with the fireplace scene.

I put some pattern paper and a strip of white card stock to create the background to give idea of wallpaper floor and a baseboard.

I then used a Marvy snow Pen to make the tops of the stocking puffy like fur.

The inside sentiment is from the SSS + CZ Design stamp set Coolest Yulest and the snowflakes are from that same Avery Elle stamp set.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope to see you next time!

Christmas Cards using Alcohol Inks

Happy Thursday!

Today I have some cards I made while playing for the first time with the
Ranger Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks.

I got the starter kit that came with Red Pepper, Stream and Sunshine Yellow. It also had the Gold Mixative and some Blending Solution.

These cards are made just with the Red Pepper, Stream and Gold Mixative.

This was my first time using these inks so I really was just playing with no rhyme or reason.

After they all dried I used some awesome Simon Says Stamp background stamps.
The Merry and Bright card is using the Kaleidoscope Background and the  other two used the Kaleidoscope Leaves Background. I heat embossed using Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder.

The sentiments were all embossed onto some vellum with the Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder. The sentiments came from My favorite thins Handwritten Holiday and Warm Holiday Wishes stamp sets.

Thank you so much for checking these out and I hope to see you on the next one!

The colors this week are Red, Gray and Black.
I immediately thought of flannel with those colors.

I used the Concord and 9th Plaid Background with Versafine Onyx Black Ink then I heat embossed with Ranger Silver embossing powder onto some Recollections card stock.

All of the images are from the My Favorite Things Happy Pawlidays stamp set.
I colored them with Zig Clean Color Markers.

I finished off their hats with the Marvy Snow Marker to add some texture.

Thank you so much for visiting and I hope to see you on the next one!

New Baby Card featuring Bundle of Baby Clothes Die-namics

Happy Monday!!

This is a card I made to welcome our new nephew!
The moment my sis in law told us she was pregnant again I bought this adorable My Favorite Things Bundle of Baby Clothes Dienamics set.

I used Distress Oxide Inks for all the coloring. The background was done with Salty Ocean and of course flicked some water to add some texture.  I then used my fave rectangle stiched Die from the MFT Blueprint 13 Die-natmics to emboss instead of cut the back piece.

The clothes were done with Candied Apple, Wilted Violet, Lucky Clover, Fossilized Amber and Faded Jeans.
I didn’t want the blending totally solid and really like the variation in each piece.

I used some of the clothes to also decorate the inside.

The sentiment is from the MFT Welcome Baby stamp set.
I then used some Nuvo Jewel Drops to add some fun dots onto it and they picked up the color of the background.

Thank you for visiting and I will see you in the next post!

Birthday Card using Simon Says Stamp Artsy Flower Parts stamp set

Welcome back!
Today I have a card I made for a close friend of mines birthday.

I wanted to create a whole background using these awesome flowers from the SSS Artsy Flowers stamp set. I stamped with SSS black ink and colored with the Zig Clean Color Markers and a water brush pen. I then spritzed some Glimmer Mist onto the background to add some shimmer.

I cut the SSS Happy Birthday die cut 4 times to give some dimension.
I put it on top of some vellum since afraid the background would be too busy to stand out.

I then used some of the gorgeous Studio Katia Sparkling Crystals Mix to give it some more sparkle.

I used a couple of the same images for the inside of the card.
I’m trying to do this more cause it just makes the inside a bit more special.

Thank you so much for coming over and I will see you next time!

Zig water colored Fractile Leaves

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

Today I have another Thanksgiving card. I am new to card making and stamping but man it is rare to find Thanksgiving stamps. I do apologize in advance because you will be seeing cards using the same two stamp sets. They both happen to be of leaves.

I am using the SSS Fractile Leaves stamp set.
I heat embossed the leaves onto some Kraft cardstock using Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder.

I then water colored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in a variety of greens, reds and yellows. I cut the panel using the MFT Die-namics Blueprints 13 rectangle die. I matted it on some Rusty colored cardstock.

The sentiment is from the SSS Ornate Leaves stamp set. I heat embossed it onto a strip of vellum and accented the strip with a uncolored leaf.

Thank you for coming by and see you next time!

Thank You Card using SSS Emma background and Distress Inks

Hey Ya'll

Today I have a Thank You card to show you.
Man I just love Distress Inks with embossed resist background.

I first heat embossed the Simon Says Stamp Emma background stamp with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

I used Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean to smoosh the background into .

In between the pouncing I would dry the background to get better definition without muddling all together. I used my fave rectangle stitched die from the MFT Die-namics Blueprints 13.

I used my Silhouette to create the sentiment. I used the Lucinda Handwriting font, welded the letters together and then did a offset of 1.00 that I cut from some vellum.

I put the background onto some shimmery card stock I got from Michaels and then put onto a Neenah  110 lb card base.

See you next time!

Halloween Birthday Card using Simon Says Stamp If the Hat Fits stamp set.

Hey Everyone!
A friend at work asked if I would make her a Halloween inspired birthday card for her Mom and I just had to try to replicate the card Kelly Latevola made. Here is the link to her blog post that I was inspired from.

This Simon Says Stamp If the Hat Fits stamp set has been my absolute fave Halloween stamp set so far.

I used Distress Inks for the background and Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers for the hats.

I really went out of my comfort zone with adding the white gel pen accents to the hats like Kelly did but I'm so glad I did because it really gave me the confidence to do it again.

I went a little wild on the inside and stamped with Distress Oxide Inks using the Honey Bee Stamp set , Celebration Box.

I made the envelope using some pattern paper in my stash.

Thank you for stopping by and I will see you next time.

Color Throwdown #466

Happy Thursday!

This weeks Color Throwdown Challenge #466 colors are Plum, Olive and Rust. I'm a new stamper so I am using again the SSS Fractile Leaves stamp set. I wish I could find some Thanksgiving stamps but of well..leaves will do.

I first stamped in Versafine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then water colored with Distress Oxide inks. I used Peeled Paint, Seedless Preserves and Wild Honey. I also used some Barn Door Distress mixed with the Wild Honey to get the rusty color. I was a tad apprehensive since one oxide and one regular but it came out great.

After they dried I fussy cut them all out. I then took the seedless preserve ink and splattered it onto some Olive card stock.

I used the same Rust concoction to color some white cardstock to make the sentiment banner.
The sentiment comes from the SSS Ornate Leaves stamp set.

I popped it all onto a Kraft card base.

The inside sentiment is from the SSS essential greetings set.

Thank you for coming by and see you next time!

Color Throwdow Challenge #462 using SSS Fractile Leaves

Happy Thursday!

Today’s post is for the Color Throwdown #462.
The colors this week are Rust, Green, Orange and Blue.

I used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors for the background and the images.

I wanted a messy watercolor background to be able to show off these
Simon Says Stamp Fractile Leaves. It sort of reminds me like the leaves fell into a river.

I hear embossed the leaves and sentiment with Ranger Princess Gold embossing powder.

The Autumn Blessings sentiment comes from the SSS Ornate Leaves stamp set.

I used the same embossing powder to make a matte to put the watercolor piece onto.

Thank you so much for coming by and I’ll see you next time!

MFT Chinese Takeout and Good Fortune Birthday Card

Welcome back!

I can now show this birthday card I made for my awesome disinter in laws birthday!

Oh man MFT just made such a great release when came out with this set and the Sushi date one back in March.
I even won a $25 voucher from MFT as part of the release  and of course I got those sets and dies.

I did not come up with this design but I was inspired by one of the inspiration cards on their site made by Debbie Olsen.
I just loved the layout she chose with the blue background.

I used Distress Ink  in Tumbled Glass and blended onto some Bristol Smooth Cardstock.

I used Antique Linen and Tea Dye for the fortune cookies and
Hickory Smoke for the handle of the box. I also used Antique Linen for the chopsticks.

I stamped the Pagoda and Enjoy with Memento Dew Drop Ink in Lady bug form the Good Fortune stamp set. I  then heat embossed with clear embossing powder to make them shiny.

I used some patten paper in my stash as the background and popped onto a card base made from some Neenah 120lb card stock.

I used the Sushi Date stamp set for the sentiment and the soy sauce bottle which i colored using Spectrum Noir markers.

I stamped the same pagoda onto the envelope in the Lady Bug ink.
