Valentines Card using Avery Elle Lava You Stamp Set

Happy Wednesday!

Are you ready for Valentines Day?

I don't ask for flowers or anything but...since I make cards I do ask that he just get that since of course I will be making him one.  Only fair right?

We love Hawaii and went to Maui on our honeymoon.
When I saw this Lava You stamp set by Avery Elle I had to get it.

I started off by stamping the volcano onto some Bristol Smooth paper. I wanted the explosive hearts to be a bigger spray so I just wiped the ink of the volcano part and stamped again. I added in some extra hearts to make fuller.

I used Distress Inks to water color everything in.

The background uses Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass.

The volcano was Brushed Corduroy with Ground Espresso and Candied Apple for the Lava with a little more Brushed Corduroy to darken up.

The hearts were colored with Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral and Worn Lipstick.

I used the MFT Blueprints Die-namics 13 rectangle die to cut the panel out.

I popped it onto a card base that I inked with Candied Apple and distressed with water.

The final touch was adding Glossy Accents onto all the hearts to make them shine!

Thank you so very much for checking this card out and
I hope you have a fantastic Valentines Day!

ColorThrowdown #450 Using Avery Elle Shine Bright Stamp Set

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you all had a great 4th of July!

Today I have my submission to the Color Throwdown Challenge #450
The colors for the challenge are Red, White, Yellow and White.

I used one of my favorite stamp sets, the Avery Elle Shine Bright set, to make this card.

I stamped and heat embossed the light house with clear embossing powder.

I then watercolored it with distress inks. I used Candied Apple, Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, and Black Soot.

I then used some Bristol Smooth Card Stock and ink blended Tumbled Glass for the sky and Salty Ocean for the water. I used Broken China Distress Oxide to stamp the waves.

I used Tea Dye to do a wash of color onto some water color paper. I just free hand cut out to make the sandy area.

I used the stitched rectangle die from my beloved MFT Blueprint 13 Die-namics to cut out the sand and the background piece.

There is a light shining stamp in the kit but i instead smoothed the Squeezed Lemonade onto some paper and then freehand cut it out like the stamp is but bigger. I then used some Wink of Stella onto the light to add some sparkle.

I used the clouds that came in the die set but I thought were too plain. I used the Marvy Snow pen to literally make those clouds puffy. this was my first time using it and man I was not disappointed!

As always, thank you so much for coming by and I will see you next time!

Color Throwdown #443 using MFT Bundle of Baby Clothes Dienamics and Welcome Baby Stamp Set

Happy Wednesday and welcome back to another Color Throwdown Challenge.

Unlike last week, I knew exactly what I wanted to use when
I saw that the colors were Turquoise, Grey, Yellow and White for challenge #443

.

I have been waiting for Simon Says Stamp to get the Bundle of Baby Clothes Die-namics set back in stock and like fate..the package arrived today.

The background was made with Distress Inks

Clouds: Avery Elle Pierced Clouds Die set & Tumbled Glass Distress Ink

Grass: Mowed Lawn Distress Ink

Sun: Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink and Tim Holtz Rays Layering Stencil

I die cut all the baby clothes and line using the MFT Bundle of Baby Clothes Die-namics and my random stash of pattern paper and card stock.  I also used some glossy accents onto the stars.

The sentiments on the inside and outside were stamped with Versafine and I used Recollections Clear Embossing powder for the one on the front of the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hopefully I will see you next week for another challenge!

MFT Forever Friends for the Color Throwdown #442

Hello There!

I am back with my second time trying my hand at the Color Throwdown Challenge

The challenge colors are Kraft, Aqua, Gray and Yellow.

The card is cute but I am not sure how great for the challenge it is.

I had gotten my first cloud dies and I really was dying to use them. I also had the MFT Forever Friends stamp set and figured I would combine the two.

I knew the sky will complete the aqua bit and the bear would be the gray,
I ink blended mustard seed and a tad bit of twisted citron distress ink.

I was trying to stay in the guidelines with yellow but now i think it looks like dying grass instead of like a field or pasture which is what I was going for. LOL

Sky:
Avery Elle Pierced Clouds Die set
Tumbled Glass Distress Ink

Bear:
Green Gray, Light Gray, Light Carmine Zig Clean Color Markers

Bird:
Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks

I stamped a sentiment for the CZ Design Simple Sentiments stamp set in versafine and colored a heart with a Zig Clean Color Marker in Green Gray.

I matted it onto the kraft card stock then popped up with foam tape onto a white card base.

I think it is cute though uber simple even for me but I really liked how the clouds came out.

Thank you for stopping by and have a awesome day!!

Simon Says Stamp Emma Background and Distress Watercoloring

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am sharing my first ever attempt at a Color Throwdown Challenge.
I am in Mother's Day card mode so of course that is what I made today.

The colors for this weeks Color Throwdown #441 are
pale purple, aqua and light pink.

I used Versamark to stamp the Simon Says Stamp Emma Background Stamp and heat embossed with Ranger white embossing powder onto some  Bristol Smooth cardstock.

I then watercolred it with Distress Inks. I used Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar and Milled Lavender.

The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy stamp set.
I again heat embossed in white and water colored with the same Distress inks and popped up with some foam tape onto the background after matting everything in black to make it all pop!

Thank you for stopping by and I will see you next time!
