Color Throwdown Challege #469 using SSS & CZ Design Coolest Yulest

Happy Thursday!

I busted out all my Turkey Day cards so I got to play with the

I loved the colors so much that I made two cards.
One using black as the acccent and one with just the challenge colors.

I used Distress Oxide ink in Broken China and Salty Ocean for the background. I then heat embossed the images with a silver glitter embossing powder.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set and stamped with Versafine Ink.

I used a few of the same images and same ink to stamp the inside.

I will post tomorrow with the second card I made for this challenge. Until then, I hope you have a fantastic day and I will see you next time.

MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge using Otterly Love You Stamp and Die Set

Hello Again!

I have a new Challenge Today.
I love My Favorite Things Stamps and Dies and decided to try my hand at their card sketch challenge.

Here is the Sketch for this Weeks Challenge #344

Sketch Challenge 344 #mftstamps
I made the banner style shape by cutting on my trimmer and using the stich die in the MFT Die-namics Blueprints 13 set.

I ink blended Salty Ocean and Broken China Oxide Inks and then used a Distress Sprayer to add the water for a ocean like background. I then sprayed some Glimmer Mist on it to add some sparkle.

The images and sentiment come from the MFT Otterly Love You Stamp and Die set.

I colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers.  The sentiment was stamped onto some random pattern paper I had and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

After everything was assembled I used some glossy accents on the otter noses and to make some bubbles for the fish.

Thank you for coming by and I will see you next time!

ColorThrowdown #450 Using Avery Elle Shine Bright Stamp Set

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you all had a great 4th of July!

Today I have my submission to the Color Throwdown Challenge #450
The colors for the challenge are Red, White, Yellow and White.

I used one of my favorite stamp sets, the Avery Elle Shine Bright set, to make this card.

I stamped and heat embossed the light house with clear embossing powder.

I then watercolored it with distress inks. I used Candied Apple, Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, and Black Soot.

I then used some Bristol Smooth Card Stock and ink blended Tumbled Glass for the sky and Salty Ocean for the water. I used Broken China Distress Oxide to stamp the waves.

I used Tea Dye to do a wash of color onto some water color paper. I just free hand cut out to make the sandy area.

I used the stitched rectangle die from my beloved MFT Blueprint 13 Die-namics to cut out the sand and the background piece.

There is a light shining stamp in the kit but i instead smoothed the Squeezed Lemonade onto some paper and then freehand cut it out like the stamp is but bigger. I then used some Wink of Stella onto the light to add some sparkle.

I used the clouds that came in the die set but I thought were too plain. I used the Marvy Snow pen to literally make those clouds puffy. this was my first time using it and man I was not disappointed!

As always, thank you so much for coming by and I will see you next time!

Simon Says Stamp Wild Beauty Birthday Card

Hello Again.

I got inspired by Amy R from Prairie Paper and Ink and had to make a version of her awesome card.
Here is the link to her blog post: http://bit.ly/2mJ77N3

I can't lie I was intimidated by this Simon Says Stamp Wild Beauty set since all the parts are separate and I had to make the scene.  I followed Amy's design and man it gave me so much confidence that I can not wait to try more on my own.

I stamped them all using Distress Oxide inks in Fossilized Amber, Wilted Violet, Blue China and Peeled Paint.  I used a water brush to pull out the ink and then I splattered some Black Soot Distress Ink onto the background.

I used a piece of pattern paper to add a border on the left and
put all onto a Neenah Solar White card base.
I stamped the center of the flowers and inside sentiment in Versafine Ink.

I love the dainty sentiments that come in the stamp set.

I also decorated the inside and the envelope with some of the same flowers in the same inks.

Thank you so much for stopping by and will see you next time!

Happy Birthday Galaxy Card using Distress Oxide Blending

Today I have a fun colorful card for you!
I made this card for my Father in Law's birthday.

I am a sucker for galaxy anything and I wanted to play with the Distress Oxides and make a galaxy background.

These inks just blend so nice and made the background so easy to put together.
I used Worn Lipstick, Broken China, Wilted Violet and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Inks and then I used Black Soot Distress Ink along the outside.

I then spritzed water to it to give the faded out spots and then flicked some cheap-o white acrylic paint to create the stars.

I made this a while ago but I'm 99% sure the sentiment is one I got from the Silhouette Design store. After I cut it I put some Wink of Stella Glitter Brush pen to it. I smoothed versa mark onto it and then coated in Recollections Clear Embossing Powder to make it shiny.

I made a matching envelope for it and of course used a Star Trek stamp to mail it off!

Do you love a galaxy look as much as I do?

Thank you for stopping by!
See you next time!
