Valentines Card using Avery Elle Lava You Stamp Set

Happy Wednesday!

Are you ready for Valentines Day?

I don't ask for flowers or anything but...since I make cards I do ask that he just get that since of course I will be making him one.  Only fair right?

We love Hawaii and went to Maui on our honeymoon.
When I saw this Lava You stamp set by Avery Elle I had to get it.

I started off by stamping the volcano onto some Bristol Smooth paper. I wanted the explosive hearts to be a bigger spray so I just wiped the ink of the volcano part and stamped again. I added in some extra hearts to make fuller.

I used Distress Inks to water color everything in.

The background uses Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass.

The volcano was Brushed Corduroy with Ground Espresso and Candied Apple for the Lava with a little more Brushed Corduroy to darken up.

The hearts were colored with Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral and Worn Lipstick.

I used the MFT Blueprints Die-namics 13 rectangle die to cut the panel out.

I popped it onto a card base that I inked with Candied Apple and distressed with water.

The final touch was adding Glossy Accents onto all the hearts to make them shine!

Thank you so very much for checking this card out and
I hope you have a fantastic Valentines Day!

Valentines Day card Using SSS More Spring Flowers stamp set

Happy Monday!!

Today I am showing the "Galentines" Day Card for my awesome Mother in Law. To be honest I hate the term MIL cause...she's more than that...she is just my Mom.

I tried looking through my You Tube history and just couldn't find the video I watched to give credit.
I saw someone do a technique of using Distress ink on a background and then place a stencil over it to then distress more of the same color over it to create a tone on tone look.
I just had to recreate it my way.

I used the following inks from the top to bottom.

Distress Inks:
Candied Apple
Worn Lipstick
Abandoned Coral
Spun Sugar

The stencil I used is the SSS Diamond Circles Stencil.

The flowers are from the SSS More Spring Flowers stamp set. I heat embossed the images with white embossing powder and watercolored with the same distress inks.

I created the sentiment in the Silhouette Studio software and inked up with the Candied Apple Distress Ink.

I couldn't leave well enough alone and also added some Nuvo Jewel Drops in Grey Mist which really just accents the color underneath.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope to see you next time!

Valentine's Distress Watercoloring using the Simon Says Stamp You Matter and All My Love Stamp Sets

Hello Crafty People!

I am here today to show you a card I made that I am pretty sure will be the one
I give to my hubby on Valentine's Day

I wanted to play with the distress inks to do some water coloring.
I first stamped my sentiment in Versafine ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I used the YOU from the Simon Says Stamp You Matter stamp set.

I took the I Love and the To The Moon And Back from the
Simon Says Stamp All My Love stamp set.

I had to cut the you off of the to the moon and back part but
cutting my stamps apart doesn't freak me out. :-)

I then used Distress Inks in Candied Apple, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries.
I wanted to keep it mostly red since giving to the hubs.  I dried it with my heat tool and
then flicked water onto it to get the spots.

Sprayed some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to give it a overall sparkle and cut out using the MFT Die-namics Blueprints 13 stitched rectangle die.

I put it all onto a black matter and applied to a white card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I'll see you next time!
