Mother's Day Card using Silhouette Cameo

Happy Wednesday !

I have such an adorable card to show you today!
It is the Flower Bundle Mother's Day Card by Lori Whitlock.
I got mine from the Silhouette Design Store.

I cut it all out of white card stock and ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks.

Distress Oxides:
Squeezed Lemonade
Cracked Pistachio
Peacock Feathers
Abandoned Coral
Picked Raspberry
Tattered Rose

I also used a Silhouette Sketch Pen in Silver for the sentiment.
It was my first time using one and will definitely not be the last.

After assembling I added Wink of Stella Glitter brush pen to the
flower centers and the sentiment circle.

Thank you so much for stopping by and
I hope you have a fantastic Mother's Day Weekend!

Thank You Card using SSS Emma background and Distress Inks

Hey Ya'll

Today I have a Thank You card to show you.
Man I just love Distress Inks with embossed resist background.

I first heat embossed the Simon Says Stamp Emma background stamp with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

I used Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean to smoosh the background into .

In between the pouncing I would dry the background to get better definition without muddling all together. I used my fave rectangle stitched die from the MFT Die-namics Blueprints 13.

I used my Silhouette to create the sentiment. I used the Lucinda Handwriting font, welded the letters together and then did a offset of 1.00 that I cut from some vellum.

I put the background onto some shimmery card stock I got from Michaels and then put onto a Neenah  110 lb card base.

See you next time!

Color Throwdown Challenge #447 using SSS Emma Background and Distress Watercoloring

Happy Thursday!

I couldn't make my card yesterday for the throw down since I went to  U-pik farm and picked a ton of veggies. I am not kidding I was washing, prepping and freezing all day long.

I was so tickled on Monday because I was recognized for the card I made for Challenge #446.
Who me? That just made me so excited and spurred me to keep doing these challenges!

The Color Throwdown Challenge #447 this week is Navy, Aqua, Light Blue and Kraft.

I was a tad stumped this week but decided to go back to what I love and do some water coloring onto a embossed background.

I white heat embossed the Simon Says Stamp Emma background onto some Bristol Smooth Card Stock.

I tried 3 times to do on water color paper and failed each time. I was careful to not use too much water on the Bristol and had no issues with pilling.

I used quite a bit of distress colors to mix up the brown and the light blue. I used Faded Jeans, Peacock Feathers, Broken China, Twisted Citron, Vintage Photo and Brushed Corduroy.

I cut out the background using the MFT Blueprints 13 Die-namics rectangle stitched die.

The sentiment is the SSS Happy Birthday Die. I cut it out twice and added Glossy accents to add some dimension and shine. I finished up by using some sequins to add some sparkle.

Thank you so much for coming by and I will see you next time!

Engagement card using Simon Says Stamp Cora Background Stamp

Happy Saturday!
Today I have a Engagement card I made for my sis in law and soon to be brother in law.
I thought the SSS Cora background would be great since all those hearts in the background

I heat embossed with Ranger Fine Detail Embossing Powder and then wanted to do some water coloring with Distress Inks.
I was making the card for both of them so I did not want the colors to be overly girly.

The colors I used were:
Abandoned Coral
Hickory Smoke
Mowed Lawn
Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean  (mixed on craft mat)

I do not have any Engagement stamps so I spelled out the sentiment
using the Concord and 9th Perfectly Penned Stamp Set.
I popped it up on some foam tape and placed the whole piece onto a grey card base.

I wanted the envelope to look special too and used the SSS Sending Flowers Stamp Set . I made the envelope from the same Michaels Recollections card stock as I used in the card base.

I hope you have a great weekend and I will see you next time!

Final Plaid Valentine's Day Card using the My Favorite Things Plaid Background Builder Stamp Set

I told you there were three of them. :-)

I really had fun with this background using some non traditional Valentine's colors.
That bit of teal is just great.

I again used Distress Inks for the stamping. I used Abandoned Coral, Spun Sugar and Peacock Feathers. I cut it out using that MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames Die set but I did not use as just a frame.

Since it was so simple I just felt it needed something so I flicked on some white acrylic paint mixed with water onto it and added a few clear sequins.

I used the same sentiment from the Silhouette Design store but I didn't have card stock to match so instead I smoothed the abandoned coral pad onto the sentiment and then covered in Versamark and used clear embossing powder to make it all looking sleek.

I then popped it all on a white card base.

I hope you enjoyed this card and I will see you next time!!
