Daffodil Card using Silhouette Cameo 3 and Distress Oxides

Hey!!

Oh man April was not a great month for my Silhouette Cameo 3.
No matter what I put the blade at or settings in the Studio software the machine would go crazy and cut like it was cutting through chipboard.

I went though 3 reps and new cutting strips and blades and then finally got the replacement machine sent and it worked!!!
This was the first card I made and I was stoked!!

I love daffodils and I had to get this file when I saw it in the Design Store.

I cut all the parts from white cardstock and then Colored with Distress Oxide Inks.

I finally shed off with some Nuvo Jewel Drops in Grey Mist.

Distress Oxides:
Salty Ocean
Squeezed Lemonade
Carved Pumpkin
Lucky Clover

Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!!

Mothers Day Box Card

Hi!
Today I have a Mother's Day card I made from a Lori Whitlock design in the Silhouette Design Store.  It is a adorable 3D card which Lori is fantastic at designing.

My cameo is acting crazy so no lie it took me two days, lots of cursing and 5 hours with Silhouette tech support to get this made. lol

I cut all the images from some white card stock.

I inked up all the images with Distress Oxide Inks.
I kept the inking very simple due to the above issues I was having.

Distress Oxide Inks Used:
 Broken China
 Tattered Rose
Lucky Clover
 Cracked Pistachio
Carved Pumpkin
 Squeezed Lemonade
  Hickory Smoke

I then added some Nuvo Jewel Drops in grey mist to add some interest and to be honest,
hide some mistakes.
That is what they are made for right?

The beauty of this card is that it can be folded to fit in a card to be mailed

Thank you for checking it out and see you next time!

It was my first time using one and will definitely not be the last.

I cut all the pieces from white card stock and then ink blended it with Distress Oxide Inks.

Distress Oxide Inks:

Birthday Card using Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste background

Hi!

Today I have a Birthday card that is all about the sparkle!

I got my first jar of Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer paste and I jumped at making a fun background.

I first ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks in Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers.

I then applied the Glimmer paste onto the MFT Stencil Star Grid stencil

It was kind of hard to pick up in picture but man the way the paste changes color with the inks makes such a pretty sparkly gradient.

I cut the sentiment from a design I had from the Silhouette Design store.

I added Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Pen in white.
I wanted to add more  'weight" to it so I smooshed my versa mark pad onto the sentiment and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I finished off with some more sparkle by added some clear sequins.

Thank you so much for coming by and I will see you next time!

A Toast to You Card

Welcome Back!

I like to make cards with my Silhouette Cameo 3.

I have had this Snapdragon Snippets card design for a while but no reason to make...till now.
A friend of mine got a new job and knew this would be the perfect card.

I just love the interactive element of the toast coming out of the toaster.

I don't know what is going with my machine but the auto blade kept changing while cutting then just making this god awful grinding noise.

After way too long and many curse words I got the pieces cut.

I did use some distress oxides to color in the toast and the darker mint color.

I had to fix a ink boo boo so I added some grey mist Nuvo Jewel Drops in grey mist.

Thanks so much for stopping by and see you next time!

5 Year Old Birthday Card made with Silhouette Cameo

Hey!!
Today is a card I made for my great friend  Brandi's son's  5th birthday.

I want to get back to making more cards using my Silhouette Cameo.
I found this file in the Design Store and thought would be fun since its 3D.

I cut it first just from some white card stock and then I tweaked the file and cut out the front panel from some pattern paper in my stash.

I attached it to the base with a offset since I just like the way the white was peeking out and like using as a highlight to the sentiment.

I had these balloons in my library and wanted to add them to make it more colorful and fun.

I cut them also out of white card stock and then I ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks

I only used two of the three layers of the balloons and just made sure to use the lighter ink on the bottom layer.

Artist: Alaa' K
File name: birthday shadow box card 5.studio

Valentines Cards using Lawn Fawn Sweet Friends stamp set

Today I have 12 cards that I made using the Lawn Fawn Sweet Friends stamp set.
I wanted to make some Galentines cards for the ladies in my life.

I watched a video by Nichol Spohr and I just thought it was so cute and
had to use the idea for these valentines.

I used some card stock in my stash and used Candied Apple and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide to stamp a plaid design using the MFT Plaid Background Builder Stamp Set.

I then used some doily hearts I got from the Silhouette Design store and
created different sizes to add some layering.
Some of the cards have touches of glossy accents onto the berries or hearts.

All of the images were colored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and all of the sentiments are from the same Lawn Fawn Sweet Friends Stamp set.

See you next time!

Alcohol Ink Birthday Card using SSS Flora Background

Today I have a card I made for my Sister in Law for her Birthday.
My new fave technique is using alcohol inks

Dont quote me but pretty sure the inks I used were Mermaid Wild Plum and Pink Sherbet.  At the time I was just playing around and not thinking I would need to remember.

I then heat embossed the SSS Flora Background using Ranger Silver embossing powder.
I cut out using the stitched rectangle die from the MFT Blueprints 13 Die-namics.

I used the banner die in the same set for the sentiment.

I created the sentiment in the Silhouette Design Studio. I then added a little sparkle with some silver sequins.

Thank you for coming brand see you next time!

A2 X-Card Birthday Present using Concord and 9th Sprinkles Turnabout stamp set

Hi!
This was a fun Birthday card I made for my Uncle.
I got my new Silhouette Cameo and just had to make something.

I made the background using the Concord and 9th Sprinkles Turnabout stamp set. I used the cupcakes and other stamps to just stamp all over a 81/2 x 11 piece of yardstick using Distress Oxide Inks. I used Wild Honey, Salty Ocean, Candied Apple, Wilted Violet and Lucky Clover.

I cut it out using a Lori Whitlock A2 X-Card Birthday Present design.
I colored the present with the Distress Oxide inks and attached using some red twine.

It came out so cute and fun!

Thank you for stopping by and till later..Have a great day!

Birthday Card using Alcohol Ink and SSS Cora Background

Hello!

This is a card I made for a close friend of mine.
She loves Rose Gold so of course I had to try to make a card with those cards.

I used Pink Sherbet and Pearl Alcohol Inks for the background and then heat embossed the SSS Cora background in Ranger Princess Gold embossing powder.

I used the MFT Blueprints 13 Die-namics  stitched rectangle die and put onto a white note card.

I used a sentiment from the Silhouette Design store. I first gold embossed some white card stock and then cut out on the machine.

I added some Wink of Stella onto the white of the notecard and the "shadow" of the sentiment.

I hope to see you next time and till then,
Have a great day!

Happy Birthday Galaxy Card using Distress Oxide Blending

Today I have a fun colorful card for you!
I made this card for my Father in Law's birthday.

I am a sucker for galaxy anything and I wanted to play with the Distress Oxides and make a galaxy background.

These inks just blend so nice and made the background so easy to put together.
I used Worn Lipstick, Broken China, Wilted Violet and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Inks and then I used Black Soot Distress Ink along the outside.

I then spritzed water to it to give the faded out spots and then flicked some cheap-o white acrylic paint to create the stars.

I made this a while ago but I'm 99% sure the sentiment is one I got from the Silhouette Design store. After I cut it I put some Wink of Stella Glitter Brush pen to it. I smoothed versa mark onto it and then coated in Recollections Clear Embossing Powder to make it shiny.

I made a matching envelope for it and of course used a Star Trek stamp to mail it off!

Do you love a galaxy look as much as I do?

Thank you for stopping by!
See you next time!

Valentine's Card using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Snow Drifts Cover-Up Die

Hello Again!

Valentine's day is getting closer, are you prepared? Do you do anything special on the day or will it be another Tuesday?  Pretty obvious I will have a card for my hubby but I am not huge into the day for gifts but I do like letting those I love know how much they mean to me.

Today I have a card using the same pattern paper from that Paper Studios All Seasons Three paper pack and using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Snow Drifts Cover-Up Die.

I used that same Valentine's Day Sentiment from the Silhouette Design Store but this time with a white background and then set onto black card stock that I cut using the
W plus 9 stitched rectangle die. I then added a few sequins and attached to a light pink card base.

Thank you for visiting and see you next time!

Valentine's card using Lori Whitlock Diamond Stacking Card Base

Hey Everyone!

I just love the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection Crazy Dogs.
They are just too goofy and adorable.

I used the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection Crazy Talk and Crazy Things Stamps for the sentiment , flowers, heart candy box and hearts.

I stamped the sentiment on this "torn" die from the My Favorite Things Die-namics Blueprint 13 set.

I colored everything using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and blended out with a water brush pen.

The background is the Lori Whitlock A2 Stacking Card base in the Diamond pattern from the Silhouette Design Store.
These backgrounds are just three different pieces I cut from some white card stock.
I liked the white diamonds but
I wanted just a bit of color in the red at the very bottom as the back panel.

After i had everything attached to the black card base I added some Glossy Accents to his eyes and the tag on his collar.

Thank you for coming over to check out this card and stay crafty till next time!

Birthday Box Card

I have been making lately more cards without the help of my Silhouette machine
but I had to make a box card for my friend at work Jon.

I started my card making journey around October of 2016. I was addicted to making box cards that were in the Silhouette store, especially ones made by Lori Whitlock.
I have a few friends that have the whole collection of box cards that I had.
This was the last one to finish his collection!

I again used a Lori Whitlock design from the Silhouette Design store.  I used random pattern paper from a some Hobby lobby paper pads. I also added glossy accents to the balloons and the candle flame.

I also used the Technique Tuesday pull strip tag on the envelope!

Thank you for visiting and see you next time!
