Alcohol Ink Anniversary Card using SSS Love Die

Happy Monday!

Today is the 9 year Anniversary with my hubby and
I wanted to share the card I made for him.

Anniversaries are all about love but I didn't want it all red and pinks.
His favorite color is blue so I made a fun Alcohol Inked background using blues and a tad green.

I used:
Denim
Sailboat Blue
Patina

I then used the Alcohol Ink Lift  to stamp the words  form the SSS All My Love, You Matter and You+ Me stamp sets.

I used the Gun Metal Mixative to add some interest and tie in his appreciation for guns.

I had a prior attempt that didn't work out but I was able to use it as a "palette" so I can stamp the inside sentiment.

Do ya'll remember that cheesy song form like early 2000's of U+Me= Us (Calculus)?

He will sing that randomly to me in a mocking boy band way
and this sentiment made me think of that .

I then used the SSS Love Wafer Die in Vellum and Black for the sentiment.

Thank you for coming by to check out this special card and I will see you next time!

Color Throwdown #499 using Distress Resist Spray

Happy Monday!
I have my submission for the Color Throwdown Challenge #499.
The colors this week are yellow, green and blue.

I had gotten the Tim Holtz Distress Resist Spray in the Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit.

I read on the label about using with a stencil and I just had to try it.

I used the box that the card kit came in to spray paper. I still got some overspray on my mat but luckily it is glass and able to remove.

Make sure to instantly wash off the stencil after spraying.

I then ink blended on top with Distress Oxides in
Squeezed Lemonade, Lucky Clover and Blueprint Sketch.

I used a clean paper towel to buff off the ink on the splatter parts to make sure showed up with the white.

I then stamped the You from the SSS You Matter stamp set and heat embossed with some Wow embossing powder in black.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

Distress Oxide Water Painting Birthday Card

Hello!

I have another card using the Distress Water Painting technique by Jennifer McGuire.

I used the SSS Spring Flowers and More Spring Flowers  stamps sets with Versamark to white heat emboss the images on Bristol Smooth card stock.

I ink blended Tattered Rose and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide Inks. I focused the Tattered Rose in the center with the Abandoned Coral on the outside.

I used a water brush to paint on the images and soak up with a paper towel. After it was dry I went in and painted the images with watered down Tattered Rose.

It was then cut out using the MFT Blueprints 13 rectangle die.

The love sentiment is using the SSS LOVE wafer die and cut from Neenah Metallic card stock.
The other part of the sentiment is from SSS You Matter and All My Love stamp sets

I finished it up with some Nuvo Jewel Drops in Grey Mist.

Till next time...Have a fantastic day!!

Valentine's Distress Watercoloring using the Simon Says Stamp You Matter and All My Love Stamp Sets

Hello Crafty People!

I am here today to show you a card I made that I am pretty sure will be the one
I give to my hubby on Valentine's Day

I wanted to play with the distress inks to do some water coloring.
I first stamped my sentiment in Versafine ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I used the YOU from the Simon Says Stamp You Matter stamp set.

I took the I Love and the To The Moon And Back from the
Simon Says Stamp All My Love stamp set.

I had to cut the you off of the to the moon and back part but
cutting my stamps apart doesn't freak me out. :-)

I then used Distress Inks in Candied Apple, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries.
I wanted to keep it mostly red since giving to the hubs.  I dried it with my heat tool and
then flicked water onto it to get the spots.

Sprayed some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to give it a overall sparkle and cut out using the MFT Die-namics Blueprints 13 stitched rectangle die.

I put it all onto a black matter and applied to a white card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I'll see you next time!
