Happy Sunday!
I hope you are having a lovely Mother's Day!
Today I have my submission to the Color Throwdown Challenge #492
I was at first like what am I gonna make with these colors but then I decided to go out of my box and still do a floral with unconventional colors for the leaves.
I wanted to use a technique that Amy R did on her YouTube channel of Faux Watercoloring.
She had stamped out the images and then sprayed water to get them to bleed.
Guess what I learned.... Memento Dye Inks hardly bleed.
Memento Inks Used:
Lady Bug
London Fog
Dandelion
I am pretty new to non Distress Ink using so totally didn't know that. Lol
What happened when I did the water was that it did soften the images and I know will sound weird but it gave it a suede-y like look that I just loved!
The sentiment is from the Concord and 9th Here's the Scoop stamp set and I heat embossed it onto vellum with Ranger Watering Can embossing Powder
The card base came from the May SSS card kit. I actually cut the base just a bit on two sides to be able to use to hold down that vellum piece.
I finished the card off by stamping some of the images on the inside with SSS Fog ink.
Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you on Wednesday
for the next Challenge where I will be the Guest Star Stamper! Eeeeeekkkkk!
Have a great day!
