Color Throwdown #527 using SSS Beautiful Flowers

Happy Saturday!

It has been a hot minute since I did a Throwdown post but I am back with

The colors this week are Navy Blue, Green and Gray.

I stamped the large floral image from the SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp set in Versafine ink.

I scribbled the markers over the images and spayed a whole bunch of water
to get it moving to give it a messy watercolor look.

I used a heat gun to dry it and did that process again.

I used Zig Clean Color Markers in :
Deep Blue
Blue
Green
May Green

The sentiment is from the Beautiful Flowers stamp set and the Tie One On stamp set and stamped tie Distress Oxide Ink in Hickory Smoke
I put the piece onto some gray card stock and added some Nuvo drops  in clear.

Thank you for visiting and see you next time!

Watercolor Birthday Card using Honey Bee Stamps STAMPtember® Exclusive Tie One On

Hey Guys!

I have a card today that is inspired by the one Amy R did on her channel.

Water color especially when overlapping is intimidating to me but
she gave me the confidence to try it.

I stamped the balloons from the Honey Bee Stamps STAMPtember® Exclusive stamp set Tie One On in  SSS Fog Ink onto some watercolor paper.

I used Distress Inks for all the watercoloring of the balloons.

Distress Inks Used:
Candied Apple
Abandoned Coral
Mustard Seed
Carved Pumpkin
Mowed Lawn
Peacock Feathers
Salty Ocean
Wilted Violet
Seedless Preserves

I used Distess Oxide Ink in Hickory Smoke for the bows and strings.

I heat embossed the sentiment onto some vellum with Ranger Silver Embossing Powder  and then put onto a piece of black cardstock so that just the black strips showed on top and bottom.

I used the same set for the inside sentiment and then used more Distress Oxides for the balloons and confetti falling.

Thank you so much for coming by and I will see you next time!

Birthday Card using Honey Bee Stamps STAMPtember® Exclusive Tie One On

Hi!
Today I have the card I made for my Dad's Birthday!

I love using that Tim Holtz Wood 3D Embossing Folder and had to incorporate it in the card.

I used some brown paper in my stash to emboss and then used some
Ground Espresso Distress Oxide to "dirty" it up.

The balloons come from the Simon Says Stamp and Honey Bee Designs collab Stamptember set called Tie One On.

I stamped them with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and water colored with
Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors. I fussy cut them out, popped up with foam tape and used some embroidery thread for the strings.

I heat embossed the sentiment ( from the same stamp set) onto some black card stock using Ranger Silver Embossing Powder.

I used the same balloons in the inside with various Distress Oxide Inks.

Thank you so much for visiting and I hope to see you next time!!

Color Throwdown #524 using SSS Even More Spring Flowers

Happy Saturday!

Its a new year and a new Color Throwdown Challenge.

The colors for the Color Throwdown Challenge #524 are Green, Yellow, Black and White.

I wanted to water color some flowers so I decided to use the
SSS Even More Spring Flowers stamp set.

I did some masking to keep it be a one layer card.

I stamped with Versafine ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts clear embossing powder.

I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Markers and a water brush pen.

I used :
No.40 Green
No. 41 Light Green
No. 50 Yellow
No. 52 Bright Yellow

The sentiment comes from SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp set and the Honey Bee Stamps Exclusive STAMPtember Tie One On stamp set.

I used Distress Oxide Ink to stamp the flower on the inside and used the green marker to ink the stamp for the leaves.
The sentiment on the inside is also from the SSS Beautiful Flowers set.

Thank you for checking out my submission and I hope to see you next time!

Thank You card using SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp set

Hey There!

Today I have a thank you card I made at same time I made that Birthday card for my boss.
I used the same Oxide colors  but went for a muted matte and sentiment in grey.

I first embossed the SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp with Ranger Silver
embossing powder onto watercolor paper.

I then watercolored with Distress Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Fossilized Amber and Forest Moss.
I also used the Wilted Violet to splatter onto the background.

The sentiment strip is made using stamp from the MFT All About You stamp set.

The  You is from the MFT All About YOU die set.
I die cut it four times then coated in clear embossing powder to add some shine and dimension.

I then used SSS Fog Ink to stamp the same image onto the envelope to tie them both together.
