Welcome Back!

I hope you are having a great start to your weekend!

The colors this week are Slate Blue, Orange, Brown and White.

I used the Concord and 9th Turnabout Stamp Set with Distress Oxide Inks in Broken China, Fossilized Amber and Carved Pumpkin.

I add a little sparkle I used the Ranger Copper Embossing powder for one of the turns.

The sentiment is from the Gina K Autumn Wreath Builder Set and is heat embossed with the copper onto some vellum.

I used SSS Big Momma Foam Tape to mount onto a Kraft card base.

Thank you so much for visiting and I hope to see you on Wednesday when I will be the Guest Stamper on the Color Throwdown Challenge #519.

Water Color Birthday Card using SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp set

Welcome Back!

Today I have a card I made for my boss's birthday.

I wanted something pretty and elegant for her.

I first embossed the SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp with Ranger Princess Gold
embossing powder onto watercolor paper.

I then watercolored with Distress Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Fossilized Amber and Forest Moss. I also used the Wilted Violet to splatter onto the background.

The sentiment strip is made using stamp from the MFT All About You stamp set and the You is from the MFT All About YOU die set.

I then used Wilted Violet ink to stamp same image on the envelope flap and then coated in clear embossing powder to seal in since on a slick style glittery envelope.

She loved the card which was a win for me!
Thank you so much for coming by and I will see you next time!!

Happy Birthday Bokeh Card!

Welcome Back!
Today I have a card I made for my great work friend Ryan.
These last 6 months would have been horrible if I didn't see him across form me!

I wanted to do something special for him and decided to try my hand at making a bokeh background.

I first ink blended a background with Distress Oxides in
Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin and Fossilized Amber

I didn't have a circle stencil but no worries, I used my Silhouette to cut out a variety of circle shapes

I used Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink to blend on the circles. I would apple the circles very randomly and not ink up each time that way each circle would get lighter.

You need to have different shades of the white to give it that depth.

I went over some of the circles with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Pen
so that only few had some sparkle.

The sentiment is the Honey Bee Hooray Die and balloons
are from the Honey Bee Celebration Box stamp set.

The balloons were all colored with the same Distress Oxide Colors and then sparkled up with the Wink of Stella pen.

I had some extra so I used those on the inside and then personalized using the Concord and 9th Perfectly Penned stamp set.

While I was at it I decided to decorate the envelope.
I used the same stamp set for the balloons and the confetti.
I then just hand wrote is name in the balloons.

Thank you so much for visiting and checking out this card I made for special work buddy!
I hope to see you next time!

CTD#453: Distress Oxide Birthday Card using Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy Happy stamp set

Happy Friday!

I am back from vacation and ready to do this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge #453.
Slightly jet lagged but wanted to play so bad.

This weeks colors are Pink, Yellow and Green. I was inspired by a post on the Lawn Fawn Instagram page.

I wanted to play with my Distess Oxides. The background is not quite what I was picturing but after finished I figured would be good for a man card. Yeah it has some sequins but he will just have to get over it.. it's a birthday card and needs some sparkle.

I did the smooshing technique of putting color on the craft mat, spraying with water and smooshing the card stock into it. After each pounce I would dry with the heat tool. I used Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber and Lucky Clover Distrress Oxides.

The sentiments are in the same distress colors and I used the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy Happy stamp set and dies.

Thank you for coming by and see you next time!

Simon Says Stamp Wild Beauty Birthday Card

Hello Again.

I got inspired by Amy R from Prairie Paper and Ink and had to make a version of her awesome card.
Here is the link to her blog post: http://bit.ly/2mJ77N3

I can't lie I was intimidated by this Simon Says Stamp Wild Beauty set since all the parts are separate and I had to make the scene.  I followed Amy's design and man it gave me so much confidence that I can not wait to try more on my own.

I stamped them all using Distress Oxide inks in Fossilized Amber, Wilted Violet, Blue China and Peeled Paint.  I used a water brush to pull out the ink and then I splattered some Black Soot Distress Ink onto the background.

I used a piece of pattern paper to add a border on the left and
put all onto a Neenah Solar White card base.
I stamped the center of the flowers and inside sentiment in Versafine Ink.

I love the dainty sentiments that come in the stamp set.

I also decorated the inside and the envelope with some of the same flowers in the same inks.

Thank you so much for stopping by and will see you next time!

Happy Birthday Galaxy Card using Distress Oxide Blending

Today I have a fun colorful card for you!
I made this card for my Father in Law's birthday.

I am a sucker for galaxy anything and I wanted to play with the Distress Oxides and make a galaxy background.

These inks just blend so nice and made the background so easy to put together.
I used Worn Lipstick, Broken China, Wilted Violet and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Inks and then I used Black Soot Distress Ink along the outside.

I then spritzed water to it to give the faded out spots and then flicked some cheap-o white acrylic paint to create the stars.

I made this a while ago but I'm 99% sure the sentiment is one I got from the Silhouette Design store. After I cut it I put some Wink of Stella Glitter Brush pen to it. I smoothed versa mark onto it and then coated in Recollections Clear Embossing Powder to make it shiny.

I made a matching envelope for it and of course used a Star Trek stamp to mail it off!

Do you love a galaxy look as much as I do?

Thank you for stopping by!
See you next time!
