Sunny Studios Daffodil Dreams Birthday Card

Welcome Back!

Today I bring to you a birthday card I made for my friend Tiffany!
I had ordered the Sunny Studios Daffodil Dreams layering stamp set and I had to play!

Yeah every flower is a different color but you know...I was ok with that and I know my bud Tiff would be too. I was playing with different Memento Dew Drop Inks and got these creations.

Are you asking what colors are used on each flower? I am too. lol

To be honest, I can not remember the combo for each but I used
Cantaloupe, Dandelion and Tangelo at some point on them.

Yeah I know, not uber helpful, I promise I am better on the next card I make with this set.

For the leaves I used Pear Tart, New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves.
Those are also Memento Dew Drop Inks.

I stamped the stems  and all the leaves but the front leaf onto the white base that I cut using the MFT Wonky Stitched die set.  I then fussy cut the flowers and leaf. I liked the idea of the one leaf being raised and adds dimension.

I used the sentiment from the set and heat embossed in white on black card stock.  I used some pattern paper to have just a peek of green around the edge.

I then added some sparkle with iridescent sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a awesome day!

Engagement card using Simon Says Stamp Cora Background Stamp

Happy Saturday!
Today I have a Engagement card I made for my sis in law and soon to be brother in law.
I thought the SSS Cora background would be great since all those hearts in the background

I heat embossed with Ranger Fine Detail Embossing Powder and then wanted to do some water coloring with Distress Inks.
I was making the card for both of them so I did not want the colors to be overly girly.

The colors I used were:
Abandoned Coral
Hickory Smoke
Mowed Lawn
Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean  (mixed on craft mat)

I do not have any Engagement stamps so I spelled out the sentiment
using the Concord and 9th Perfectly Penned Stamp Set.
I popped it up on some foam tape and placed the whole piece onto a grey card base.

I wanted the envelope to look special too and used the SSS Sending Flowers Stamp Set . I made the envelope from the same Michaels Recollections card stock as I used in the card base.

I hope you have a great weekend and I will see you next time!

Simon Says Stamp Emma Background and Distress Watercoloring

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am sharing my first ever attempt at a Color Throwdown Challenge.
I am in Mother's Day card mode so of course that is what I made today.

The colors for this weeks Color Throwdown #441 are
pale purple, aqua and light pink.

I used Versamark to stamp the Simon Says Stamp Emma Background Stamp and heat embossed with Ranger white embossing powder onto some  Bristol Smooth cardstock.

I then watercolred it with Distress Inks. I used Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar and Milled Lavender.

The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy stamp set.
I again heat embossed in white and water colored with the same Distress inks and popped up with some foam tape onto the background after matting everything in black to make it all pop!

Thank you for stopping by and I will see you next time!

Simon Says Stamp Wild Beauty Birthday Card

Hello Again.

I got inspired by Amy R from Prairie Paper and Ink and had to make a version of her awesome card.
Here is the link to her blog post: http://bit.ly/2mJ77N3

I can't lie I was intimidated by this Simon Says Stamp Wild Beauty set since all the parts are separate and I had to make the scene.  I followed Amy's design and man it gave me so much confidence that I can not wait to try more on my own.

I stamped them all using Distress Oxide inks in Fossilized Amber, Wilted Violet, Blue China and Peeled Paint.  I used a water brush to pull out the ink and then I splattered some Black Soot Distress Ink onto the background.

I used a piece of pattern paper to add a border on the left and
put all onto a Neenah Solar White card base.
I stamped the center of the flowers and inside sentiment in Versafine Ink.

I love the dainty sentiments that come in the stamp set.

I also decorated the inside and the envelope with some of the same flowers in the same inks.

Thank you so much for stopping by and will see you next time!

Concord and 9th Say Hello Birthday Card

Hi Again!!

Todays card came straight from the Concord and 9th Inspiration for the Say Hello set.

A co worker of mine said her fave color was pink so I went all out for her Birthday card.

I blended Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar for the background.
I sprinkled some water to get the wonderful splotchiness that distress ink creates so great.

Once it was totally dry I clear embossed a bunch oh the sentiments all over the background piece.

I then die cut the Hello out from it and I also die cut from some white card stock and some that was inked with only the Picked Raspberry to give all those layers in the Hello portion.

I inked the Happy Birthday with Versafine Black ink and popped up with some foam tape and added some clear sequins for some sparkle!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic day!!

Neat and Tangled Topography Going Away Card

Welcome back!

Today I have a card using this awesome Neat and Tangled Topography Stamp set.
I just love that background set and adds so much interest and perfect for the going away card I made.

I first stamped the background in Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
I then ink blended it with Distress Oxides in Worn Lipstick and sprinkled water.

I used my W Plus 9 stitched rectangle dies for the center part and stamped a sentiment from the stamp set in Versafine Ink. I accented with some Nuvo Jewel Drops.

A very simple card but really accenting that wonderful background stamp!

Thank you for visiting and have a awesome day!

Personalized Birthday Card using the Concord and 9th Perfectly Penned and Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy Stamp Sets

Happy Hump Day!

Easter is over and now back to other cards.
Today I have a Birthday Card I made for my co worker Jennifer.

I first did some ink smoothing with Distress Inks onto some watercolor paper
 for the background piece.

I then stamped the Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy Sentiment using Memento Dye Ink in similar colors. I wish a had a 'Dear" stamp to make it like the song but oh well.  I got inspiration from Jennifer McGuire's card that she used the same idea of the repeating sentiment.

I put both pieces on some black cardstock and then accented with these Nuvo Jewel Drops.

I really loved how all the colors look on that black background. She had told me she loved bright colors and especially red and oranges and I was so happy when she opened it and really liked it!
