Alcohol Ink Anniversary Card using SSS Love Die

Happy Monday!

Today is the 9 year Anniversary with my hubby and
I wanted to share the card I made for him.

Anniversaries are all about love but I didn't want it all red and pinks.
His favorite color is blue so I made a fun Alcohol Inked background using blues and a tad green.

I used:
Denim
Sailboat Blue
Patina

I then used the Alcohol Ink Lift  to stamp the words  form the SSS All My Love, You Matter and You+ Me stamp sets.

I used the Gun Metal Mixative to add some interest and tie in his appreciation for guns.

I had a prior attempt that didn't work out but I was able to use it as a "palette" so I can stamp the inside sentiment.

Do ya'll remember that cheesy song form like early 2000's of U+Me= Us (Calculus)?

He will sing that randomly to me in a mocking boy band way
and this sentiment made me think of that .

I then used the SSS Love Wafer Die in Vellum and Black for the sentiment.

Thank you for coming by to check out this special card and I will see you next time!

Color Throwdown #522 using SSS Comfort and Joy

Happy Friday!

I have my submission for the Color Throwdown Challenge #522.
The colors this week are Coral, Red, Green and Gray

I just got me the Tom Holtz trimmer so I wanted to cut up some paper and do some layering.

I used some gray card stock from my stash and heat embossed the SSS Christmas Sweater background with Ranger Red Geranium embossing powder.

I then layered  this green pattern paper.

I used the SSS Comfort and Joy stamp set for the sentiment and greenery.

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Abandoned Coral and Candied Apple to make the sentiment have a gradient look when I stamped it.

The greenery was stamped with Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves.

I also added some berries with the Nuvo Jewel Drops in Rosewater to give another touch of a coral like color and it added some dimension.

Thank you so much for visiting and have a great day!
Till next time!

Color Throwdown #521 using SSS Poinsettia Background and Mama Elephant Sending Hugs

Happy Saturday!

I was a tad intimidated by this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge #521
The colors this week are Silver Black Gray and White.

I really wanted to use the new stamps I got and luckily worked out!

I used the SSS Poinsetta Background stamp with Ranger Silver Embossing Powder onto some Gray cardstock. I cut it out with the stitched rectangle die from the MFT Blueprints 13 Die-namics.

The beautiful sentiment is from the Mama Elephant Sending Hugs stamp set and also embossed with the Silver Embossing Powder.

I popped the sentiment panel up with the SSS big Momma Foam Tape and  mounted the whole piece on a white card base.
I then finished off with some Nuvo Jewel Drops in Grey Mist  to add some shine.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
See you next time!

Copper Thanksgiving card using Gina K Autumn Wreath Builder

Hello!

so....I totally forgot I had this blog post but I am still gonna put up though past Thanksgiving. Oooooppss.

Today I have a card using just one ( ok technically three with the sentiment and circle)
stamp for the wreath.

I used the Gina K Autumn Wreath Builder stamp set with Distress Oxide Inks and Ranger Copper embossing powder.

I used Tea Dye and Gathered Twig inks for the circle and leaves.

I felt it needed some shine so did one of the leaf rounds in
Versamark to use the Copper embossing powder.

This was my first time using this embossing powder and oh man is it pretty.

I used foam tape to pop onto a Kraft card base.

Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you next time!

Color Throwdown #519 using SSS Ornate Ornaments

Happy Wednesday!

I am so excited for todays post since I am the
Guest Star Stamper for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge #519

I was so excited to see that the colors this week were Red, Aqua and Silver.

I really wanted to use the Simon Says Stamp Ornate Ornaments Stamp set but didn't know how to make the tree work since no green.

I then thought of those old school Aluminum Christmas trees and how would be a great backdrop for some colorful ornaments.

The tree branch comes from the Sunny Studios Holiday Style stamp set and was heat embossed with Ranger Silver Embossing Powder.

I heat embossed the ornaments onto some Bristol Smooth card stock and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

I used:
Geranium Red
Light Pink
Turquoise Green
Light Blue
Light Gray

I fussy cut the images and attached with Gina K Connect Glue.

The sentiment is also from the SSS Ornate Ornaments set and heat embossed in silver.
I used the light gray marker to add a slight shadow since I thought at first looked a tad flat.

I popped the panel onto the red card base using the SSS Big Momma Foam tape to add just a little dimension.

Thank you so much for visiting and please go visit the Color Throwdown site to see all of the other beautiful creations and I hope to see yours submitted!

Color Throwdown #517 using the Lori Whitlock A2 Flexi Card

Happy Friday!

Here is my submission for this weeks Color Throwdown #517 Challenge this week.

The colors this week are Orange, Kraft, Red and Aqua.

I adore this Lori Whitlock A2 Flexi card design I got from the Silhouette Design Store.

I only used the colored red card stock for the card base and used Kraft for the trees and sign.

Everything else was ink blended with Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks.

I used the Tim Holtz Lumber 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder on the trees fence and sign back to add some fun texture.

I altered the image just a tad and added a bunch more leaves to add some more color on the inside panel.

I used Gina K Connect glue to attach everything.

I just love how this card can be mailed flat and then have so much dimension when the receiver puts together!

Thank you so much for visiting and I will see you next time!

Color Throwdown #516 using Gina K Autumn Wreath Builder

Hey Again!

I hope you are having a great Friday!
I have another post for a Color Throwdown Challenge
This weeks colors are Dark Teal, Rust and Cream.

I loved the colors when I saw the inspiration photo and couldn't wait to play.

It was just perfect timing that my order of the last Distress Oxide Inks came in
and Rusted Hinge is in that set.

I used Hero Arts Fiesta Teal and the Rusted Teal with the Gina K Autumn Wreath Builder stamp set and stencil on some cream cad stock.

I used the dots and other accent stamps form the Concord and 9th Wreath Turnabout stamp set.
I used Ranger Copper embossing to add some more of a rust color and add some shine.

I then took the card base and ran through the Tim Holtz Wood 3D Embossing Folder. I thought it looked to blah with the flat paper. Plus I adore that folder and want to make everything be wood.

I used the SSS Big Momma Foam tape to pop onto the card base and added some Nuvo Grey Mist Jewel Drops for some dimension and shine.

Thank you so much for visiting and I will see you next time!

I used the Concord and 9th Wreath Turnabout Stamp with Distress Oxides on Kraft card stock.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam Tape to mount onto a white card base.

You Got This card using Alcohol Lift Ink and SSS Center Cut Star Background Stamp

Happy Friday!

Today I have a card I made for a friend who is going through a tough time and wanted to remind him that...He's got this!
His fave color is red cause of the Red Power Ranger so I had to go with a red theme.

I first created the background form Alcohol Inks in Valencia, Pink Sherbet and Watermelon.
I then used the spray bottle from the Alcohol Ink Tool Set to spray alcohol onto it.

I then used the Alcohol Lift Ink on the SSS Center Cut Star background stamp on the image.
I just love how it made it look like acid or something was eating away at the background.

I used some random gold nail foil I had to add foil to the sticky bits left on the background.

The Sentiment and You die cut are from the MFT All About You Stamp and die set.

Rainbow Birthday Card

Welcome Back!
Today I have a very simple but colorful birthday card.

I was in the mood to play with Distress Oxide Inks and figured a rainbow design would be fun.

I used the MFT All About You Stamp Set and Distress Oxide Colors
in Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean.

I used my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to stamp background then used the All About You Die for the sentiment plus same stamp set for the top sentiment. I then matted it onto some black card stock to make the colors pop more.

I used that same Happy Birthday Stamp minus the to and stamped it repeatedly onto the flap of the envelope in the same colors to tie them together.

Thank you so much for visiting and see you next time!

CTD #508 using Loose Watercolor then Stamping Technique

Hey There!

This week's Color Throwdown #508 colors are Purple, Yellow, Green and Red.

I saw Kristina Werner video where she was inspired by CreationsCeeCee on doing some loose watercolor and then stamping a image on top.

I used Distressed Oxide Inks for the watercoloring

Candied Apple
Mustard Seed
Mowed Lawn
Wilted Violet

I again used the SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp and put the colors in the general area of the images. Like Kristina did I flicked color on then with a dry brush swiped up to seep the color.

I used a white gel pen to add some white highlights to the image.

The hello friend sentiment is from the Gina K You Make Me Smile stamp set.

I then used SSS foam tape to mount onto a white card base.

Thank you for checking me out and I will see you next time!

Water Color Birthday Card using SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp set

Today I have a card I made for my boss's birthday.

I wanted something pretty and elegant for her.

I first embossed the SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp with Ranger Princess Gold
embossing powder onto watercolor paper.

I then watercolored with Distress Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Fossilized Amber and Forest Moss. I also used the Wilted Violet to splatter onto the background.

The sentiment strip is made using stamp from the MFT All About You stamp set and the You is from the MFT All About YOU die set.

I then used Wilted Violet ink to stamp same image on the envelope flap and then coated in clear embossing powder to seal in since on a slick style glittery envelope.

She loved the card which was a win for me!
Thank you so much for coming by and I will see you next time!!

CTD #507 Using Alcohol Ink Lifting

Happy Saturday!

ITs been a while since I did a challenge. Im trying to adjust to a new work shift and luckily I no longer feel like a zombie!

The Color Throwdown Challenge this week used the colors, lime green, green, aqua and eggplant.

I had just gotten the Alcohol Lift Ink and had to play.
I used Alcohol Inks in Citrus, Limeade, Eggplant and Mermaid.

The eggplant came out way darker in the finished inked piece but I loved the outcome.

After it tried I used the Lift Ink with with Simon Says Stamp Center Cut Star background stamp.

I also wanted to play around with adding gold foil to the sticky bits.

I used to do nail art and have a bunch of nail foil and luckily it worked!
After the piece tried a few minutes , I laid down the foil and stuck to this sticky thicker bits!

Since the purple was so dark I decided to put onto a purple matte
and have the sentiment also be purple.

The sentiment is the Simon Says Stamp Painted Happy Birthday Die that I cut out four times to add some dimension.

I then coated in clear embossing powder to give it some shine!
